Clients usually use our services in new market environments and situations and require an independent, external and fact-based recommendation. Most of these analyzes are carried out in our office in downtown Munich. A typical consultant week at L.E.K. Consulting thus has 4-5 "office days".

After a successful application, an international introductory training course for all new colleagues in the European offices in London takes place. In addition, training courses to promote analytical and communication skills are carried out in the first few years.
After promotions, further training courses are offered in which the candidates are optimally prepared for their new role. International skills are promoted through cross-office projects in which we advise our clients internationally. In addition, after about 2 years, our consultants have the opportunity to take part in our “swap program” and work in another international office for 6 months.

Requirements for applicants

Requirements for applicants

Applicants should have completed their studies at a business or technology-oriented university with above-average success and have perfect English skills. Additional language skills are helpful, especially for international projects or swaps to other offices. In addition, they should have gained initial practical experience in consulting, industry, investment banking or auditing, e.g. through internships. To start as a senior consultant, candidates should ideally have several years of experience in a consultancy-related environment (e.g. strategy consulting, investment banking or strategy consulting in an international company) and / or an MBA or doctorate.

Application process

Application process

Every interested party whose application has convinced us goes through at L.E.K. Consulting two rounds of interviews with a total of five consultants. As a rule, the applicant gets to know consultants at various hierarchical levels - from junior consultants to project managers and managing directors. At least one of the interviews will be held in English and, in addition to the usual questions about the résumé, the candidate will face five different case studies.
