Learn and apply relaxation: progressive relaxation

Why are relaxation + mindfulness important?

Many rush from one point on the to-do list to the next in their life and feel stressed. Since states of relaxation are in contrast to stress reactions, the ability to relax is important.

In this course, progressive relaxation according to Jacobson is taught in particular. The Progressive relaxation (Progressive Muscle Relaxation) is an easy-to-learn relaxation technique.

The attention is focused on the Differences between tension and relaxation of the muscles steered.

This allows relaxation to be experienced consciously, body awareness is improved and general well-being is promoted.

Muscular tension can be recognized earlier and more precisely and thus actively and independently avoided or reduced.

The exercises are supplemented by helpful breathing exercises, mindfulness exercises, imagination exercises and fantasy journeys.

Elements of stress management are used as needed.

Instructor is Dipl.-Psych. Bernd Kappis, Psychological psychotherapist who has been working at university medicine since 1999.
He has many years of experience with relaxation methods in the fields of psychotherapy and pain therapy.
