How can I create a list with sequential numbers?

Say when you've had a number entry into Python and want to make a list of sequential numbers that you like

How could you do that


In Python 3, you can use the built-in function as follows

Note 1: The Python 3.x function returns an object. If you want a list, you have to explicitly convert it to a list using the function as I showed it in the answer.

Note 2: We pass the number 9 to the function because the function generates numbers up to the specified number, but does not contain the number. So we give the actual number + 1.

Note 3: There is a small difference in functionality between Python 2 and 3. Please refer to this answer for more information.
