Make shorthands professionally with the steno pencil

Shorthand, also known as shorthand, is the fine art of fast typing and a classic discipline of office work. Whether for dictation, taking notes at speeches, seminars or lectures or as an aid in creating minutes, shorthand is very often used. Especially for professionals such as journalists, foreign language correspondents or interpreters who have to take notes a lot in their daily work and cannot write everything down with longhand, shorthand is the best solution. Shorthand is characterized by a quick string of characters and symbols, in which the vowels are sometimes marked by particularly thick and strong lines. Pencils are used for this. With them, the abbreviations can best be applied on a special stenoblock. But not all pencils are suitable for making shorthand.

The steno pencil has special properties

The stenob pencil is characterized by special lead properties. It should have a soft lead with which thick lines can be applied easily and without a lot of pressure, but with which thin lines can still be written and scratching does not occur. The decisive factor is the degree of hardness. Pencils with a degree of hardness of 2B and B (soft and full line) and HB (medium soft) are best used as steno pencils. The steno pencil is easily removable with an eraser and offers you easy and clean sharpening. Some steno pencils have a round handle shape, other variants have square handles. Many users find the round versions to be particularly flattering to the touch, as there are no indentations on the finger.
