What are the requirements for the exam?

What is being checked?
The main focus is on the content of the Project Management Body of Knowledge® (PMBOK®Guide) as well as further knowledge about PMI® Method queried. We specifically address this at our seminars. More information here -> PMP® Seminar.
How does the exam work?
There are test centers in Germany and Austria where the exam is computer-assisted. After your admission you can make an appointment there. Alternatively, you can also arrange an online exam. The exam itself consists of 180 multiple-choice questions (each with 4 possible answers). You have 230 minutes to do it. You will receive a result immediately after completing the exam.
How many questions do I have to answer correctly?
The pass rate, i.e. the percentage of questions that have to be answered correctly in order to obtain PMP® certification, is determined by PMI® kept as a secret. It is estimated that this rate is 65%.
Can I repeat the exam?
Yes. You can repeat the exam up to 2 times within a year. Then you have to wait a year and then start the whole cycle again.
How high is the diarrhea rate?
We estimate that 50% of all PMPs® Failure contenders. The reason is often poor preparation. With the seminar, we offer a complete preparation program. Therefore, our customers pass the test (of which approx. 97% at the first attempt). We even offer a guarantee of success with most tariffs.
How can I register for the exam?
On the PMI website® you can collect all the necessary data online and arrange an examination date there later. You will receive detailed instructions for the registration process (German) and a project hour calculator (German) after you have registered for our PMP® Seminar.
How does PMI® my details?
The information is only examined in more detail on a random basis: approx. 10% of all applications receive an "audit". Here you have to prove that your information is correct: the school / university education and the 35-hour seminar can be documented with copies of certificates. The information on the project experience must be confirmed by the reference persons you have named. If you come into an audit, call our hotline - experienced service staff will be happy to help you.
Where do the exams take place?
The exams are held by exam centers operated by PMI® are authorized to do so. There are test centers in many large cities around the world. You also have the option of taking the exam at home.
What does the exam cost?
Exam fees are currently US $ 405 plus PMI®- Membership fee US $ 139 (as of 1/1/2011). The amounts are sent directly to the PMI® to be paid. Please refer to the current conditions on the PMI website.
Can I also take the exam in German?
In principle, yes. There is a German translation aid that is optional for the exam. There is also a 1: 1 translation of the PMBOK® Guide. However, we recommend the English-language exam, as all questions and literature are originally written in English - therefore the translations are not always easy to understand.
