What is transformative breathing

Transformational Breath® is a holistic breathing technique developed 45 years ago by Dr. Judith Kravitz in the USA. It is a connected breathing method that works physically, mentally & emotionally and spiritually at the same time. Connected breathing means breathing in a river without pausing for the duration of the breathing session. Positive effects from Transformational Breath® can include:

  • Processing stress on these three levels
  • Strengthening your own resilience
  • Physical, mental & emotional relaxation
  • More inner peace and balance
  • Dissolve mental and physical blockages

The surrounding organs are massaged through intensive use of the diaphragm. Among other things, this has a positive effect on the lymphatic system. The so-called entrainment effect has a positive effect on a mental and emotional level, it helps to process events, thoughts and emotions and thus, among other things, to feel more balanced. Transformational Breath® also enables you to calm down and penetrate deep into the subconscious.

In good time before our appointment you will receive an email from me, which will contain, among other things, the link for our meeting via Skype. You don't need to install the app for this, just click on the link at the agreed time and Skype will open in your browser.

The message will also contain a list of things that can help you with your breathing session, for example a yoga mat, blanket, pillow, yoga belt or scarf. Don't worry if you don't have some of these at home, we'll work with what you have. Please put on something comfortable for the breathing session, in which you can move easily and breathe relaxed in your diaphragm and stomach.

I will also send you a questionnaire in advance. So that I can look after them optimally, it is important for me to know a few things in advance.

It will be important that you find a place for yourself where you have peace and quiet, where you can lie comfortably and place the camera of your smartphone, tablet or laptop so that I can see you clearly.

At the agreed time, we will both meet via Skype. At the beginning I tell you the process, explain how Transformational Breath® works, we go through the questionnaire together and then it starts. We breathe with music that will support you in your breathing and at the same time I will instruct you in certain postures. After the breathing session we will discuss the experience. The breathing session with preliminary and debriefing takes about 60 minutes.

We will talk briefly on the phone for 2 to 3 days to see how the breathing session worked.

At the agreed time we will meet in my room in Hamburg-Altona or at another agreed location. I will provide all the utensils that are needed for the breathing session.

I will send you a questionnaire beforehand. So that I can look after them optimally, it is important for me to know a few things in advance.

At the beginning I will explain the process to you, as well as how Transformational Breath® works, we will go through the questionnaire together and then it will start. We will breathe with music that will support you in your breathing and at the same time I will support you with body touches and affirmations to expand your breathing pattern. After the breathing session we will discuss the experience. The breathing session with preliminary and debriefing takes about 90 minutes.

We will talk briefly on the phone for 2 to 3 days to see how the breathing session worked.

Transformational Breath® is diaphragmatic breathing and is practiced in a relaxed position, mainly lying down and to music. We work with acupressure to release physical tension and allow breathing to flow relaxed throughout the body. After a few hours of instruction, Transformational Breath® can be practiced independently by anyone, regardless of time and place. The Transformational Breath® sessions take place in personal meeting in Hamburg or online via skype instead, if you wish, I will be happy to travel to you.
